BFT (Blue Fin Tuna) Season 2018 - Updates - 18.05.2018 The Blue Fin Season (BFT) 2018 continued with Italian vessels towing cages working for Maltese Tuna Ranches. From 0727 - 1600 hrs the 1995  built Italian flag 28.10 metres stern trawler  BARTOLOMEO ASARO  with fishing number   MV  371  was at Valletta.  Then she proceeded south to Marsaxlokk harbour to tow a cage bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea. From 0829 - 1641 hrs the 1968  built Italian flag 32.31 metres stern trawler GIULI A P.G. with fishing number   MV  378  was at Valletta.  Then she proceeded south to Marsaxlokk harbour to tow a cage bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Fish Farm Workboat  on fire - At Marsaxlokk Harbour - 13.08.2017 The Fish & Fish Ltd fishfarm workboat MFD 47 TRANSPORTER III caught fire this afternoon while she was on her hard at the Hardstanding Facilities at the Fishport, Marsaxlokk Harbour.
