CONVEYANCE - Saudi ro/ro BAHRI JAZAN at Malta - 16.03.2018. The 2013 built SAU flag and owned ro/ro ship BAHRI JAZAN called 3 miles north east off Valletta Harbour today Friday 16th March 2018 at 1120 hrs (1020 UTC) for a crew change with workboat UNDAUNTED. Upon completion the vessel left to her next port of call - Bremerhaven, Germany.  She was built in South Korea by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard at Ulsan with a length overall of 225 metres. PASSER BY - Pipe Lay Crane Vessel  SAIPEM FDS - 11.03.2018. The 2000 built BHS flag pipe lay crane vessel  SAIPEM FDS  was spotted at 1719 hrs (1619 UTC)  passing by 47.4 nautical miles North off Valletta, Malta bound to Larnaca, Cyprus from Cartagena, Spain on Sunday 11th March 2018.  She was built in South Korea by Samsung Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries at Geoje as SAIBOS FDS until October 2006.  Below are images of her entering Marsaxlokk Harbour, Malta back to 16th August, 2009 -  Photos by Capt. DRYDOCKING - Container ship MSC ATHOS - 06.03.2018. The 2013 built MLT flag container ship  MSC ATHOS  left Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta from Palumbo Malta Shipyard Dock 6  on Tuesday 6th March 2018 assisted by 3 local tugs LIENI, MARI and SEA SALVOR with 2 pilots aboard while 1 Pilot was assisting the dock master at the Dock for her 5 year survey. She was built in South Korea by Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering at Tongyoung as Yard Number 4011 with a length overall of 299.95 metres and a beam of 48.34 metres. She has a deadweight of 110,772 tons with a GT of 92,500 tons. TEU Capacity is 8,800 and chartered to MSC while owned and managed by Costamare, Greece. Her next port of call was Gioia Tauro, Italy after compass adjustment and bunker services at Malta. PASSER BY - Cable Layer ILE DE BATZ - 20.02.2018. The 2001 built FRA flag cable layer ILE DE BATZ  was spotted passing by 83 nautical miles North Easterly off Valletta, Malta bound to Singapore from Calais, France on Tuesday 20th February 2018.  She was built in South Korea by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard at Ulsan with 140 metre as length overall.         Below is image of the vessel leaving Valletta back to 22nd April, 2004 - Photos by Capt. World Largest Container Ship - OOCL HONG KONG in the Mediterranean Sea - 02.02.2018 The 399.87m (1, 311.9 ft) container ship OOCL HONG KONG was seen transitting the Malta-Sicily Channel bound to Felixstowe, UK from Singapore mostly fully loaded on Friday 2nd February, 2018.  She was built at the Samsung Heavy Industries, Geoje Shipyard, South Korea  with yard number 2172 and delivered in May 2017.
