Interesting Week seeing different types of ships with cruise liners


Sunday 3rd June, 2018.

Mein Schiff Sundays with the 1997 built MLT flag cruise liner MEIN SCHIFF 2 berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 Wharves entering at 0333 hrs.



Vessel was represented in Malta by SMS Shipping (http://www.sms.com.mt)

At 0816 hrs the French Navy D'Estienne D'Orves Class corvette F 789 FS LIEUTENANT DE VAISSEAU LE HENAFF left Valletta from Pinto 3 Wharf.


On completion the Irish Naval Service OPV P 61 L.E. SAMUEL BECKETT shifted from Pinto 4 to Pinto 3 Wharf.


At 0956 hrs the Spanish Navy Santa Maria Class Frigate ESPS VICTORIA F 82 entered Valletta bound to Pinto 4 and 5 wharves.



Monday 4th June, 2018.

At 1856 hrs the Spanish Navy Santa Maria Class Frigate ESPS VICTORIA F 82 left Valletta from Pinto 4 and 5 wharves.


Tuesday 5th June, 2018.

At 1112 hrs the 2012 built GBR flag wind farm crewboat  DALBY RIBBLE left Valletta from Pinto 4 wharf.




From 1217 to 2012 hrs the 1998 built BHS flag liner NORWEGIAN SPIRIT was at Valletta berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 Wharves.

Wednesday 6th June, 2018.

From 0206 to 1800 hrs the 1995 built NLD flag and owned cargo ship ELANDSGRACHT was at Valletta coming from Palma Di Majorca berthed at Pinto 1 Wharf for yachting transport operation.


Ship was represented in Malta by O&S Shipping (http://www.oands.com.mt/) 

At 0841 hrs the Irish Naval Service OPV P 61 L.E. SAMUEL BECKETT left Valletta from Pinto 3 Wharf.



Around 2330 hrs the 2000 built BMU flag liner OCEANA entered Valletta berthing at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.




Vessel was represented in Malta by Malta Cruise Services, a division of Mifsud 
Brothers Ltd - (http://www.mbl.com.mt/) 




Thursday 7th June, 2018.

Departure of OCEANA happened at 2100 hrs.


Friday 8th June, 2018.

At 0720 hrs the passenger ship ARETHUSA entered Valletta coming from Syracuse, Sicily bound to Pinto 3 Wharf.


At 2006 hrs the 2010 built RUS flag 38 metres long motor yacht SOCRAT left Valletta from Pinto 3 Wharf.



Saturday 9th June, 2018.

At 0709 hrs the MLT flag cruise liner AZAMARA QUEST entered Valletta coming from Civitavecchia, Italy bound to Pinto 4 and 5 wharves.



Vessel was represented in Malta by SMS Shipping (http://www.sms.com.mt)

MAERSK INVENTOR at Malta - 18.05.2018. The 2018 built Isle of Man  flagged (IOM) Subsea Support Vessel (SSV)   MAERSK INVENTOR   entered Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta for the first time on Friday 18th May, 2018 at 0715 hrs. She's the third out of four Stingray Class Subsea Support Vessel. Maersk  ordered a series of four Stingray vessels in 2014. Designed together with Marin Teknikk, the ships are built as a platform to carry out deep and shallow water operations. With an energy efficient propulsion set-up, these DP 3 vessels feature a 400-ton active heave compensated (AHC) crane and two work class remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) capable of operating in a water depth of up to 3,000 meters. Last Voyage - SEVEN OSPREY at Malta - 05.01 - 17.02.2018. The 1984 built LBR flag diving and light construction  vessel SEVEN OSPREY  left Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta on Saturday 17th February, 2018 from Bormla Wharf at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd after she entered Valletta on Friday 5th January berthing at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) and shifted to Palumbo on Saturday 6th January.
