MMH MALTA -  Week 20 of 2018. Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) is located within the inner of Valletta (Grand Harbour), and ideally positioned to serve the marine oil and gas servicing industries by providing drilling, sub-sea and marine operations, engineering, maintenance and storage and other services. The following are movements within Week 20 - Sunday 13th May, 2018. At 1059 hrs the 2011 built ATG flag Offshore Supply Ship  OOC JAGUAR  entered Valletta shifting from Medserv Base at Marsaxlokk Harbour.   Monday 14th May, 2018. During the day the 2003 built NIS flag Offshore Supply Vessel  SKANDI CALEDONIA entered MMH Facilities. Tuesday 15th May, 2018. Around 0900 hrs the 2013 built ITA flag Offshore Supply Vessel  VOS PURPOSE  entered Valletta bound to Quay Wall 1 East. Wednesday 16th May, 2018. During the early hours of Wednesday the Offshore Supply Vessel  OOC JAGUAR  shifted again from MMH to Medserv Base at Marsaxlokk Harbour

BFT (Blue Fin Tuna) Season 2018 - Updates - 18.05.2018 The Blue Fin Season (BFT) 2018 continued with Italian vessels towing cages working for Maltese Tuna Ranches. From 0727 - 1600 hrs the 1995  built Italian flag 28.10 metres stern trawler  BARTOLOMEO ASARO  with fishing number   MV  371  was at Valletta.  Then she proceeded south to Marsaxlokk harbour to tow a cage bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea. From 0829 - 1641 hrs the 1968  built Italian flag 32.31 metres stern trawler GIULI A P.G. with fishing number   MV  378  was at Valletta.  Then she proceeded south to Marsaxlokk harbour to tow a cage bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea. At 0928 hrs  the 2008 built Italian flag 28.82 metres stern trawler  END   with fishing number   PA 1352   entered Valletta chartered by Mareblu Tuna Ranch berthing at Magazine Wharf.  At 1645 hrs  the 1976 built Maltese flag workboat ROSARIA TUNA   with fishing number   MFD 8511   left Valletta towing

MAERSK INVENTOR at Malta - 18.05.2018. The 2018 built Isle of Man  flagged (IOM) Subsea Support Vessel (SSV)   MAERSK INVENTOR   entered Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta for the first time on Friday 18th May, 2018 at 0715 hrs. She's the third out of four Stingray Class Subsea Support Vessel. Maersk  ordered a series of four Stingray vessels in 2014. Designed together with Marin Teknikk, the ships are built as a platform to carry out deep and shallow water operations. With an energy efficient propulsion set-up, these DP 3 vessels feature a 400-ton active heave compensated (AHC) crane and two work class remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) capable of operating in a water depth of up to 3,000 meters.
