VALLETTA CRUISE PORT -  SAPPHIRE PRINCESS - 22.04.2018.


On Sunday 22nd April, 2018 the cruise liner of the Princess Cruises  SAPPHIRE PRINCESS called Valletta during her maiden call berthing at Boiler Wharf since all Pinto wharves were occupied with 2 other MSC Crociere cruise liners bearing more or less the same length.

When visiting Malta - FERRETTI BATTERY At Birzebbugia


FERRETTI BATTERY also known as Qajjenza Battery or St. George's Battery is 

an artillery battery in the village of Qajjenza, within the limits of Birzebbuga, in 

Malta.


It was built by the Order of Saint John between 1715 and 1716 as one of a 

series of coastal fortifications around the coast of the Maltese Islands.


Nowadays a restaurant is there bearing the same name serving Mediterranean 

cuisine.

Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) is located within the inner of Valletta (Grand Harbour), and ideally positioned to serve the marine oil and gas servicing industries by providing drilling, sub-sea and marine operations, engineering, maintenance and storage and other services. At 1300 hrs the 2001 built BHS flag multi purpose offshore vessel (MPSV)  SKANDI CARLA was seen leaving Valletta from MMH bound to Cartagena, Spain.  Later

Last Voyage - SEVEN OSPREY at Malta - 05.01 - 17.02.2018. The 1984 built LBR flag diving and light construction  vessel SEVEN OSPREY  left Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta on Saturday 17th February, 2018 from Bormla Wharf at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd after she entered Valletta on Friday 5th January berthing at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) and shifted to Palumbo on Saturday 6th January.
