VALLETTA CRUISE PORT -  SAPPHIRE PRINCESS - 22.04.2018.


On Sunday 22nd April, 2018 the cruise liner of the Princess Cruises  SAPPHIRE PRINCESS called Valletta during her maiden call berthing at Boiler Wharf since all Pinto wharves were occupied with 2 other MSC Crociere cruise liners bearing more or less the same length.

When visiting Malta - FERRETTI BATTERY At Birzebbugia


FERRETTI BATTERY also known as Qajjenza Battery or St. George's Battery is 

 an artillery battery in the village of Qajjenza, within the limits of Birzebbuga, in 

 Malta.


It was built by the Order of Saint John between 1715 and 1716 as one of a 

 series of coastal fortifications around the coast of the Maltese Islands.


Nowadays a restaurant is there bearing the same name serving Mediterranean 

 cuisine.

Fugro to install new undersea power cable in South Australia Fugro has been awarded a contract to install a subsea power cable for South Australia’s distribution network management company, SA Power Networks. The new 20,000 kVA/33,000 Volt cable will replace the existing 10,000 kVA/33,000 Volt undersea cable, which is reaching the end of its life. The subsea asset is a continuous 15-kilometre-long cable, weighing 600 tonnes and connects Kangaroo Island to the distribution network on the southern Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide. VALLETTA CRUISE PORT -  Week 28 of 2018 . Interesting Week seeing different types of ships with cruise liners Aerial Image of GRAND HARBOUR, Malta back to 8th December 2009 Sunday 8th July, 2018. At 2210 hrs the 2007 built MLT flag passenger ship  ARTEMIS  left Valletta from  Pinto 4 wharf. Wednesday 11th July, 2018. From 0614 to 1733 hrs the 2018 built  MSC SEAVIEW  was at Valletta berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.   From 0628 to 1703 hrs the  the 1998 built  VISION OF THE SEAS was at Valletta berthed at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves . Vessel  was represented in Malta by SMS Shipping (http://www.sms.com.mt) Thursday 12th July, 2018. From 0514 to 2147 hrs the 2000 built BMU flag cruise liner OCEANA  was at  Valletta berthed at  Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.
