FISHERIES - EPCA Vessel LUNDY SENTINEL   at Malta - 27.03.2018.


The 2015 built British flagged (GBR) Multi-Role Support Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) LUNDY SENTINEL entered Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta on Tuesday 27th March, 2018 for a bunker call at the Valletta Cruise Port Pinto 3 Wharf arriving from Toulon, France while on passage to Burgas, Bulgaria.

She was chartered by the European Fisheries Control Agency (EPCA) in December 2017  for an initial period of 24 months and may be renewed and the vessel will be deployed primarily as a fisheries patrol vessel in international, EU and where possible third country waters in the different joint deployment plans and other operations from the Mediterranean and Black Sea, to the Western Waters, North Sea and Baltic Sea.

She can also contribute to multipurpose tasks in the framework of the European cooperation on coast guard functions, as search and rescue, sea border control and detection of pollution, in cooperation with Member States authorities and/or Frontex and EMSA. 

Vessel was represented in Malta by SMS Shipping (http://www.sms.com.mt)

Last Voyage - SEVEN OSPREY at Malta - 05.01 - 17.02.2018. The 1984 built LBR flag diving and light construction  vessel SEVEN OSPREY  left Valletta (Grand Harbour), Malta on Saturday 17th February, 2018 from Bormla Wharf at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd after she entered Valletta on Friday 5th January berthing at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) and shifted to Palumbo on Saturday 6th January.
