Ships at Haifa, Israel in Week 48 of 2017.


The following movements are covered by a friend at Haifa, Israel -


Tuesday 28th November, 2017.

The 2005 built MLT flag chemical/oil products tanker MARINER A was spotted entering port assisted by local tugs AMATZIA II and ARIEL. 


Later in the afternoon the Israeli built Cyprus Navy OPV P61 was spotted doing sea trials.




Thursday 30th November, 2017.


The Royal Navy Flagship and amphibious assault ship HMS OCEAN L 12 was spotted entering port.





Friday 1st December, 2017.



The 2008 built CHN flag and owned container ship XIN MHEI ZHOU was seen departing to Alexandria, Egypt.



The 1981 built heavy load carrier EAGLE arrived and anchored at Haifa Anchorage early morning of which later on she entered the Carmel Container Terminal.




Saturday 2nd December, 2017.


Operation of loading a floating dock on board the EAGLE - ​The EAGLE submerged and the dock was floated and positioned above her deck. Then she de-ballasted slowly​ with 3 tugs Amatzia II (bow), Ilan I (mid section) and Ariel (stern) + several launches assisted during the docking.

At 2210 hrs the 2007 built MLT flag passenger ship  ARTEMIS  left Valletta from  Pinto 4 wharf. Wednesday 11th July, 2018. From 0614 to 1733 hrs the 2018 built  MSC SEAVIEW  was at Valletta berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.   From 0628 to 1703 hrs the  the 1998 built  VISION OF THE SEAS was at Valletta berthed at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves . Fugro to install new undersea power cable in South Australia Fugro has been awarded a contract to install a subsea power cable for South Australia’s distribution network management company, SA Power Networks. The new 20,000 kVA/33,000 Volt cable will replace the existing 10,000 kVA/33,000 Volt undersea cable, which is reaching the end of its life. The subsea asset is a continuous 15-kilometre-long cable, weighing 600 tonnes and connects Kangaroo Island to the distribution network on the southern Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide. Fugro will design and supply the power cable and will use its multi role support vessel, REM ETIVE, to install it across Backstairs Passage, from Fishery Beach on the mainland to Cuttlefish Bay on Kangaroo Island. “As a multi-disciplinary project delivery and subsea services provider, we operate high specification vessels and remotely operated technology, enabling Fugro to deliver turnkey solutions like this one,” said Marcus Hemsted, Business D...
